1. Persuasive Essay (art in schools) Good morning congress


So my school and I would like to request a couple of things to help our education. Our first idea is a lunch program, we all know that you are a very busy person and with out your coffee you’re half asleep all day, that’s pretty much the same thing with us without our food in the morning.
Our second idea is a bigger library with a librarian. Our library is very small and does not have a librarian. One of our main priorities for school is to get better at reading….and without many books with higher reading levels us students won’t get better. We need a librarian because someone has to organize the books in the library and someone needs to keep track of what book was taken out, and which was lost, or which books where donated.
My last request for today is more P.E equipment because a lot of kids are out of shape and we play the same games over and over again. And after a while all those games we keep on playing get boring and we loose interest in P.E.

Non-fiction:
Fourteen Humpback whales were found dead on the shores of the beaches. Scientists studied the bodies of the whales and they were in perfectly good health. What happened to these healthy whales? Then scientists found out that they were poisoned by red algae. Red algae is a plants that grow at the cold bottom of the ocean. They are not always red, they are sometimes brown,and sometimes colorless but the red ones are the fatal ones.They are toxic and recently they have been growing more and faster.
Algae was spoted on the satilites and there was images of the algea moving with the current. Sometimes the algea gets to the shore of beaches and people are not allowed to swim there, go fishinq, or catch clams. The red algea is fatal to humans but not as much as to the whales because it stores it self in the fat and it gets to high death rate and it kills the whale.

Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones was a large woman who worked at a beauty shop, and didnt close till late. It was eleven o'clock and she was walking home, her purse slung across her shoulder when a boy runs from behind her and tries to snatch it. He wasnt strong or heavy enough to snatch it, on his attempt he fell on his back,legs in the air.
Luella shook him until his teeth rattled "Now aint you ashamed of yourself?"she asked him.
"Yes'm," replied the boy. He looked thirteen years old more or less.
Luella didnt like that he was dirty, specially his face. She took him home and told him to wash his face. He had a very good chance of making a run for it for she had left the door open. He didnt want to be mis-trusted so he bent over the sink and washed his face.
"Whats your name?" Luella asked him.
"Roger," he replied.
"You gonna take me to jail?" Roger asked.
"Not with that face," she said.
She wondered if anyone ever told him to wash his face "There's nobody at my house" Roger answered simply. She didn't ask further questions that might emberrass him.
"Then we'll eat," said the woman, "I believe you're hungry-or been hungry-to try to snatch my pockekbook."
"I wanted a new pair of blue suede shoes," said the boy.
"Well, you didn't have to snatch my pockekbook to get some suede shoes," said Mr. Luella Bates Washington Jones." You could have asked me."
"M'am?"
Turns out she did was bad like Roger to get things she wanted. After dinner she gave her ten dollars so he could buy his shoes and led him out the door. He wanted to say more than "thank you ma'am" but when he turned to her he merly said "thank you" and he never saw her again.
