kirstine other history project

Washington: His farewell address showed that the best way to run a country was to avoid political partys. However his entire run at the whitehouse was more than proof that he knew how to run a country, his rein was the most peaceful ever.

Jefferson: As princapal auther of The Decloration of Independence Jefferson knew how to write, but did he know how to run a country? Yes! He carried the country triumphantly through difficult times and showed that although peace is best, when time come justice needs to be served. He delt with Barbery pirates, by sending Navel troops to take care of the problem.

Lincoln: Lincoln was faced at the byfar the countrys worst predicament yet, the American Civil war. Lincoln showed us all that problem may come, but solution is never far. Lincoln believed in people not only people who looked like him, but people in general.

Hamilton: He was securtary of the treasury, and among being on the ten dollar bill he is a foundind father. He wrote the Federalist papers (used for Constitution) Born from a rich family he was lead into the belief the people should be selfsufisent.

Jackson; Was the first common people president. He applied the spoils system, and never chose to listen to the kitchen cabanet. He created the american bank. Although majority of people disagreed with his aproach, he still made important yet difficult discions.

Garfield: General of the north and civil war. Was in congress for 17 years.

Franklin: As a scientist, inventer, statesman, printer, economist, musician and philophiser, Bengamain Franklin sure did tons for our country! He as well helped write the Decloration of Independence. He found out how to harness light for light bolbs as well.

Susan B. Anthony; Helped wemon rights, and slavery. She as well tried to get wemon the right to vote.

I chose Dorthea Dix because she saw an issue and acted on it to improve it although it never effected herself. Dix saw the prisons and mental hostbitals and the poor care and treatment torwards them. She fixed the problem and saved many lives and made many much better. That is the reason I put her on the 10 dollar bill.
