brent staples beleives that african american teenagers are beset by dangerous myths about race. the worst one defines normalcy and middle class acheviment as white and violence litteracy and drug dealing as black. the narrowing of hip hop music would be reason for coencern. but it is esspecailly bad when rappers use inappropriate languege and insult and threaten rivals with there songs.
