Rap Music Summary

Teenagers who are African-American are overwhelmed from everywhere by the dangerous myths people are telling about race. One of the myths people are telling is the most horrible one. It says to be normal and have achievement you have to be white. It also says that if your black you are violent, illiterate, and you are a drug dealer.

These myths have some how found themselves in rap music. In the rap music that praise misogyny, murder, and materialism. This has lead to rivalries and eventually murder. Two of rap music’s most popular artists – Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G were shot to death because of a rivalry between them. Eventually the rivalry led to the shootout that killed these two rappers.
