How hip-hop music lost its way and betrayed its fans

In this article it talks about how African American teens have myths about their race. And how they are based on violence and drug dealing. The way its mostly represented is in rap music, it talks about murder, hating women and materialism.
People in the rap industry will do anything to get attention. The messages they send in there music, is making it seem alright to do bad things.

Things that are said in music cause rivalry against other rappers, in that case there was shooting that killed two of the biggest rappers in the industry. In which, 50 cent a former drug dealer, on his record he had photographs of weapons which showed every stereotype and it was represented on his album. The rap industry is continuing to increase. As long as they are making money then they continue to do it.
