The function of school is to learn how to earn a living. It's important to know how to earn a living because it will help you with future careers. You need the basic subjects, math, English, science etc. to help you get a good job. Without this purpose you wouldn't get far in life. As long as you go to school you can get a decent job. Although you have your other interpretations for school, shared values, analyzing and knowledge itself. Earning a living is the most relatable to school. It prepares you for your future.
