Should families have a dog?

I think families should have a dog because they can protect you. They are also man's (or woman's) best friend. If you have kids the dog could play with them because most of the dogs like kids of any ages. Dogs are really smart. Fireman have dogs because they could save persons. Also if you are sad your dog will lick you to make you happy. The dog will like to play with you a lot and most of the time.

Dogs could take away a lot of your time because you have to take him out. You will have to take him to the veterinary once on a while. You will have to buy the dog a bed,blanket,a dog house, food and some toys. Every single day you will have to take out the dog. You will have to train him if you want the dog to be inside the house and that will take some time. You will have to pay a lot of attention.
